En esta conversación con Paula Pape, hija de Lygia Pape y responsable del Projeto Lygia Pape, se comentan algunas de las características del Neo-Concretismo, movimiento surgido en Brasil en los años cincuenta del siglo XX, en relación a la producción de la artista. El Neo-Concretismo supone una contestación a las premisas del Concretismo, que se había convertido para artistas como Lygia Clark o Helio Oiticica en un movimiento hegemónico y académico. !–more–La obra de Pape, por tanto, se rescata como una interpretación poética, textual y personal de la geometría que caracteriza el Concretismo. Otra de las características más destacables en la obra de Lygia Pape, es la necesidad de que sea participativa. El poema supera su realidad semántica y se corporeiza, imprimiendo en la obra cierta subjetividad. Esta tendencia o movimiento, presentada como netamente brasileña, sin embargo, va más allá de límites nacionales, sobrepasa la constitución de un arte representativo de este país y constituye una geometría involucrada en el cuerpo, un arte subjetivo dependiente del espectador.

A arte sensorial e participativa de Lygia Pape, um dos nomes de referência da arte contemporânea brasileira, será exibida a partir desta terça-feira no Museu Rainha Sofia de Madri na primeira exposição monográfica dedicada à artista na Europa.
